"lighten and uplift them, so that they may soar on the wings of the Divine verses" -Baha'u'llah

Changes in Humanity

Voices cry out
so they are heard
many sever their connections
ceasing their conversations with God

Fat fingers rip pages of prayers
nimble hands chained to stop their language
Mouths are sewn shut to quit gospels from being uttered
hearts cease
and imprisoned in ice
as the veil of their unneeded wants
come between them and God's love
feet glued down by fear of the church
believing that searching for God would be blasphemous
or not needed

Eventually
all is silenced
all is ceased to move
Until-

a man
a woman
or even
a child
comes forth to break the chains
the chains of fear
the chains of doubt
the chains of lies
all broken by truth

"truthfulness is the foundation..."
of all people

eyes are uncovered
hearts were broken
but now warmed and healed
feet able to move to search
and
voices are intoned with God's melody
